香港特首李家超在上月16日发表了其任期内的第三份市政报告，其中就有调整烈酒税的内容。在新的双层税制下(200港币以内的部分100%税。200以上部分10%税)，高价威士忌进口税将大幅下降。但平价威士忌税率依然偏高。图中可见只有当价格在2千港币以上，新税率才会在20%以下。到1万以上新税率才会接近10%。 所以法律面前人人平等or法律面前穷人死梗？ “We would like to believe we are all equal, but the truth is we are not, and we never will be…”
100% reduce to 10%? No! Under new two tier import tax system, only when price above 2K HKD will get tax rate below 20% and price go up to around 10K then tax rate will get close to 10%.
